Sony Ericsson showed its first phone with support for TD-SCDMA


Sony Ericsson has introduced its first TD-SCDMA smart phone - Sony Ericsson A8i. The device operates under Open Mobile System 2.0 - a modified version of the China Mobile Android.


Sony Ericsson A8i very similar to Xperia X8 and Xperia X10. From the technical parameters of the device noteworthy 3.5-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, WLAN, A-GPS, Blue tooth, 3,5-mm audio jack, 5MP camera auto focus and LED-flash, 200 MB of internal memory, slot MicroSD, electronic compass, as well as support for mobile TV CNMB and function of TrackID.

Sony Ericsson A8i will go on sale in the fourth quarter and will be available in black and white.
